Why is the sea blue?

Maybe you like to enjoy the sea, I really like to contemplate it. These days I thought: why is the sea blue?

The answer can be simple, if we observe that the sea is nothing more than a large mirror of water, and therefore it reflects, what is above it, the color of the firmament. When during the day, and with sunlight, the sea reflects the celestial blue. During the night, it reflects the dark color of the night pitch, with nuances, according to the lunar intensity, which, reflecting the sunlight, among the shadows of the night, covers the sea with an absence of color.

The sea, at the mornings of each dawn, once again reflects the celestial blue, offering a pleasant and divine landscape, which everyone can contemplate and enjoy! The marine fauna and flora that are not in the depths, continue their natural and pleasant routine, in the sea bathed in sunlight.

But it is also known that factors in marine flora, such as algae, can alter the nuances of the sea’s color; as well as an external event, such as a spill of crude oil carried by ships, can artificially change the color in the affected region. And the color of the sand itself can generate nuances depending on whether it is lighter or darker, or affected by pollution.

But we can say that these are isolated situations, since in the immensity of the sea, in the ocean, the principle of its color follows the natural order of reflection of the celestial blue, during the day, and colorless at night. The following quote from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, is one of my favorites and has helped me understand the phenomenon of divine reflection:
